Ghana CORS Portal Terms & Conditions

1. Service Description

The Ghana CORS Payment Portal ("Service") is a professional geodetic services platform operated in collaboration between GMX Systems Ghana Ltd., the Ghana Lands Commission (LC), and the Licensed Surveyors Association of Ghana (LISAG). The Service provides access to Continuously Operating Reference Station (CORS) data for official land cadastre and geodetic work in Ghana.

By using our Service, you acknowledge that you are a professional surveyor or authorized professional and agree to these terms. The Service includes:

  • Access to Ghana CORS network data
  • RINEX file downloads from active stations
  • Virtual Reference Station (VRS) data generation
  • Job management and point calculation services
  • Payment processing and receipt generation
  • Quality control and submission validation

2. User Accounts

Registration Requirements

To use our Service, you must:

  • Be a professional surveyor
  • Provide accurate, complete, and current registration information
  • Maintain valid professional credentials and license
  • Verify your identity and professional standing
Account Security

You are responsible for:

  • Safeguarding your account credentials
  • All activities conducted under your account
  • Immediately notifying us of unauthorized access
  • Using the Service in accordance with professional standards

We reserve the right to verify credentials and suspend accounts that do not meet professional requirements.

3. Services & Payments

Service Availability

We provide 24/7 access to CORS data, subject to:

  • Network maintenance and upgrades
  • Station availability and operational status
  • Payment of applicable fees
  • Compliance with these terms
Pricing and Payment

Service fees are based on:

  • Number of processed points requested
  • Type of data service (station data or VRS)
  • Duration and frequency of data requests

Payment must be completed before data delivery. All fees are non-refundable unless service is unavailable due to our technical issues.

Data Delivery

Upon successful payment:

  • RINEX files will be delivered via email and portal download
  • Payment receipts will be generated automatically
  • Job reference numbers will be assigned for tracking
  • Data will expire based on configured retention periods

4. Data & Quality Control

Data Accuracy

While we strive to provide accurate CORS data:

  • Data is provided "as is" without warranty of accuracy
  • Users must validate data for their specific applications
  • Official Ghana Grid values are subject to LC-SMD validation
  • Network performance may vary by location and conditions
Quality Control Process

All submissions are subject to SMD quality control:

  • Final calculations must be uploaded using prescribed forms
  • Field RINEX files must accompany submissions
  • SMD reserves the right to validate all work quality
  • Non-compliant submissions may be rejected
Data Usage Rights

Licensed data may only be used for:

  • Official land cadastre work in Ghana
  • Professional surveying services
  • Work authorized by your surveyor license
  • Projects approved by relevant authorities

5. User Responsibilities

As a professional surveyor, you agree to:

  • Professional Standards: Maintain highest professional and ethical standards
  • Accurate Information: Provide truthful job details and contact information
  • Proper Usage: Use data only for authorized surveying purposes
  • Compliance: Follow all applicable laws and regulations
  • Confidentiality: Protect client data and maintain confidentiality
  • Quality Assurance: Validate all calculations and measurements
  • Timely Submission: Submit work within required timeframes

You are solely responsible for the accuracy and professional quality of your work product.

6. Limitations & Liability

Service Limitations

Our liability is limited to:

  • Providing access to available CORS data
  • Processing payments and generating receipts
  • Maintaining platform functionality
  • Supporting approved user accounts

We are not responsible for:

  • Professional decisions based on provided data
  • Accuracy of user calculations or measurements
  • Client relationships or project outcomes
  • Third-party system failures or interruptions

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

IN NO EVENT SHALL WE BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING FROM USE OF THE SERVICE.

7. Termination

Termination by User

You may terminate your account at any time by:

  • Contacting our support team
  • Completing all pending job submissions
  • Settling any outstanding payments
Termination by Service

We may suspend or terminate accounts for:

  • Violation of these terms
  • Fraudulent or unauthorized activity
  • Non-payment of fees
  • Misuse of Service or data

Upon termination, access to the Service will cease immediately. Data retention will follow our privacy policy requirements.

8. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ghana and subject to the jurisdiction of Ghanaian courts. Any disputes will be resolved through:

  • Ghana Lands Commission regulatory oversight
  • LISAG professional conduct procedures
  • Ghana judicial system for legal matters

9. Changes

We may modify these Terms with approval from:

  • Ghana Lands Commission
  • LISAG governing body
  • GMX Systems Ghana Ltd.

Material changes will be communicated with at least 30 days notice. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
